Preparation for your Spray Tan

  • Please try to shave or wax at least  24-48 hours prior to your Spray Tan appointment. This gives your skin time to settle and your pores to close

  • Please shower and exfoliate at least 2 hours before your tan, it will provide a more long last result and ensures a smooth, clean surface to apply the tan

  • When exfoliating please pay attention to elbows, knees, ankles and problem dry areas

  • The more you condition and moisturise your skin in the days prior and after your tan, the better result you will have

  • The entire 24 hours before coming for your tan, avoid using bar soaps, high pH shower products, oil based broducts or in-shower moisturisers. These products may act as a barrier against your skin

  • If you have eczema, dry skin, sunburn, peeling skin etc, I cannot guarantee a perfect tan, please discuss with me when coming for your appointment

On the day of your Spray Tan

  • Please avoid coming to your appointment wearing moisturiser, deodorant or perfume on your skin

  • Please wear loose fitting dark clothing

  • I provide paper g-strings, sticky feet, hairnets, hair ties, baby wipes and have umbrellas on hand to get you to your car if it is raining

  • You are more than welcome to wear your own underwear, a disposable G-string, tan totally naked, or even in a bikini

  • For the 24 hours following your Spray Tan it is suggested to avoid ALL swimming, saunas and vigorous exercise as sweating can inhibit the development of your tan.

Post Spray Tan Care

The most important step after your spray tan is the shower process!

  • After the development time is up, shower quickly for 45 secs, with luke warm water,  DO NOT USE USE HOT WATER. It stops the development of tan actives.

  • It will appear that most of your tan is washing off, this is just excess bronzer, do not be alarmed

  • Don’t use shower gels, scrubs, shampoos or loofer during the first 24 hours after your treatment.

  • Pat your skin dry. Do not rub or scrub your skin.

  • Moisturise the following day after your tan and then everyday onwards. The more you keep your skin hydrated the longer the tan will last

  • Avoid soaking in the bath or long hot showers as this will shorten the life of your tan

  • Chlorine and Salt water will reduce the life of your tan

Removing your Spray Tan

  • After day 5, exfoliate with a soft body polish on a daily basis, to help your skin absorb even more moisturiser. This also helps the tan fade naturally, rather than in patches

  • If you still have a fair amount of tan build up before your next appointment, soak in the bath and use an exfoliating mitt or cloth to remove excess
